Not Using the New Certificate
I haven’t had a chance to fly since getting my private pilot certificate. I am trying to take my wife up as my first real passenger but, between aircraft maintenance, crummy weather and the Thanksgiving holiday, we just haven’t been able to get a flight in. We will keep trying though.
I started studying for the instrument written. I have the King instrument course and am watching the DVDs now. I want to be ready to take the test next spring.

No rush, it’s a life-long hobby, right? Wait for the perfect day; she’ll want the experience to be perfect too! I did the King DVD course for my instrument written, and passed with a 97%. Of course that was nearly a year ago and I’ve forgotten everything 😉
Gleim Gleim Gleim! I cannot stress how awesome the Gleim books are. I’ve used them for all my written exams. They’re cheap, they’re helpful, and they work! The only test I’ve done poorly on was my CFI written and that was because I didn’t study haha..whoops?
I agree about Gleim. I am watching the King course now but, I do have the Gleim book and I will be using that for the test prep too. I credit Gleim for the 100% I got on the private written.
