A Tragic Event

I had a hard time making up my mind to add this post. I have tried to make this blog upbeat and positive so, I seriously considered just leaving this out. But, in life, the bad too often comes along with the good. So, if I am going to blog about all the positive events, I really should report the sad times too.

I attended my first soaring club meeting last weekend and, a new member orientation afterward. I have not been doing any flying though. A very untimely death in the family has been occupying my mind and time lately.

My nephew has been missing since April 5th. Everything pointed to his having drowned in the Chippewa River in northern Wisconsin. That was confirmed when his body was found last Thursday and positively identified yesterday. Georgia and I will be leaving in the morning (Friday) to attend the funeral on Saturday.
