This lesson added another .5 hours of simulated instrument time to my total. In addition to more of the straight and level, turns and climbs and descents I did last time, Sandy added distraction by having me tune the radio and set the GPS while still maintaining my instrument scan. I kept the airplane right side up but my heading and altitude did wander more than they should have. I don’t think I did too bad though.
We tried to do some soft field work at Burlington but only got in a couple landings. The wind was so strong that I was just fighting that and not getting much out of the soft field practice. It is fun to land on the grass though.
